How can I make sure my customer receives shipping confirmation email and tracking?

You can inform your customer about the order confirmation once you fulfill your Order on Oberlo. However, you need to set up a few settings.

Firstly, make sure you have enabled this notification feature in Oberlo > Settings > Connected shops > Shop settings > General tab. Without it, your customer would only receive order confirmation notification. 

Do not forget to add custom shipping tracking URL. This link will be added to shipping confirmation notification email sent to your customer. We recommend using this URL:  https://www.17track.net/en/track?nums=. It will automatically grab the tracking code and your customer will be redirected to this tracking service provider.

Now, when you fulfill the Order through Oberlo (add tracking number from AliExpress), your customer will receive a notification about their order being shipped out.

However, Shopify has recently removed the tracking information from their default notification templates. Therefore, customers only receive notifications about their orders being shipped, but without any tracking information.

To fix this issue, you will have to edit your Shopify notification code: 

Go to Shopify > Settings > Notifications > Shipping confirmation setting.

Then once you open it, you will have to remove all this code and replace it with the one provided in this guide at the end.

After that, just press "Save" on the top right corner of the screen and your customer will receive shipping confirmation emails with tracking codes in them!
